A brochure with lots of information about what to expect, styling options, what to bring, and handy tips to help you have a relaxing session day.
The choice you make will determine your session length and style.
Should you cancel the session for any reason please inform us 48 hours prior shoot date.

ABOUT OUR NEWBORN
PHOTOGRAPHY
Professional photographs are life-affirming and a celebration of the love for your baby, you, and your family. I encourage parents and siblings to be photographed with the baby. Nobody wants to forget those tiny perfect toes, soft skin, fluffy hair, and that swirly crown. The way they sleep, pout and yawn will disappear, and regretfully, so will our memory!
YOUR BABY SESSION!
A huge amount of care is taken during a newborn photoshoot with me and with your baby's safety always in mind. I like to keep "posing" and styling quite natural, so all the focus stays on your baby. The photos I will create for you of your new baby will be timeless and will look wonderful on your walls, even when your tiny little baby is turning 18.
My ultimate aim is to create a beautiful, timeless set of photos and memories for you to keep now and to pass on to future generations. We all have hundreds, if not thousands of photos on our phones but these are not the same as professional newborn photos.
4D studio is filled with soft blankets, fabrics, simple soft outfits, bonnets and headbands; so you wont have to worry about bringing anything other than yourselves. I love using fluffy textures to create truly unique photos of your little bundle. The photoshoot will consist of photos of just your baby in various set ups and then I will move on to parent and baby photos, plus you can include any children you already have. A wonderful way to have everyone involved.
PLANNING YOUR BABY SESSION
My studio is temperature controlled to keep you comfortable throughout your session and out of the elements.
We will ensure that the photographs are captured in a very safe, warm and comfortable environment for you and your baby and the whole experience is one you will remember fondly.
In our opinion, every stage in your children's lives should be celebrated & captured; but photographing newborn babies is something exceptional.
WHEN TO BOOK
The ideal time to photograph newborns is between 7 and 14 days old; so please book your session as soon as you know your due date. We will make a provisional booking for ten days after your due date, and we can adjust this if your baby is early or late.
WHEN IS THE BEST TIME IN MY PREGNANCY TO BE PHOTOGRAPHED?
We can photograph a "newborn style" session for babies up to 6 weeks old. Some poses and props will be different, considering your baby's weight. Older babies can get newborn acne and can be colicky, so they do better in mini sessions wrapped up.
DO I NEED TO BRING ANY PROPS OR ACCESSORIES TO MY NEWBORN SESSION?
As you will notice in our newborn gallery, We have a selection of outfits, fabrics and accessories that we can use to style your session. Once you have booked your session, we will send you a guide on what to bring to your session if you choose to have your shoot at a studio location.
However, if you have something special that you would like us to include in your pictures, please feel free to bring it along.
IS IT POSSIBLE FOR MY PARTNER AND OTHER CHILDREN TO BE INCLUDED IN THE SESSION?
Of course! Having a new baby is an exciting time for everyone in the family, and we would love to document that for you.
DO YOU WORK ON WEEKENDS?
Yes, all of our sessions can be booked Monday to Sunday
WILL FLASH PHOTOGRAPHY HARM MY BABY?
Absolutely not, the light that is emitted from flash equipment is no brighter than that which comes through your window at home on a bright overcast day.
RETOUCHING
I hand-edit each image to perfection. I am all about quality over quantity. I carefully select the best images, and over a few days, I retouch them in Photoshop to make everyone look well-rested and remove unwanted distractions.
I back up the files for safety and then create a video slideshow for your viewing appointment.
